CHRO, Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) from 2010 to mid 2018. His leadership has helped the company transform into a high performing organization that is customer centric, people focused and shareholder driven. This is demonstrated by the following awards: Singapore based Human Capital Leadership Institute Top Company (2011); Philippines Employer of the Year (2012); Philippines People Manager of the Year (2014); Philippines People Program of the Year (2015); and the Philippines Top Company for Millennials and Job Seekers (2017).
2008 - 2009
Asia Pacific Executive Consultant, Personnel Decisions International (eventually acquired by Korn Ferry) from 2008 to 2009 based in Singapore. Was Executive Coach to Global, Regional and Local CEOs; designer and faculty of Leadership Development Programs; and participated as an Assessor in Senior Leadership Assessment Programs.
Vice President, HR, Asia Pacific and Global Nutrition of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Pfizer Inc.) from 2005 to 2008 based in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA. Partnered with the Asia Pacific President and the SVP Global Nutrition in restructuring organizations, selection and appointment of key officers and in transitioning the HR function to a global shared services organization.
1991 - 2003
A string of increasingly responsible positions in GlaxoSmithKline and its predecessor organizations from 1991 to 2003 with his last role as Vice President, Human Resources for International Pharmaceuticals based in London. As HR Business Partner of the International President, he was the chief architect and leader of the International Talent Review Process resulting in an annual review of people “must moves”, development plans of key talents and early identification of high potential. In 2000, as Vice President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific based in Singapore, he was the Organization and Human Resource Integration Leader for Asia Pacific in the largest merger in Pharmaceutical history, with Asia Pacific being acknowledged by headquarters for its implementation in record time.
Ramon graduated as a Doctor in Business Administration from the Singapore Management University in January 2020 and is a member of the SMU International Advisory Council
He has started to be certified as an Executive Coach with the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute
He has been elected President of the PMAP Foundation last November 2019
